At MityLite, all three seat cushion styles are made in-house. We use the same custom-molded, flexible foam for all cushion styles. It is a cold-cured and high-resilience foam that provides a comfortable feel while maintaining its shape for years. The only difference between the seat cushion options is the style of the seat.

What’s a Waterfall Front Seat?

Since this type of chair cushion doesn’t have a firm front edge, it doesn’t put as much pressure on the lower thighs and the backs of the knees. This helps minimize the negative effects of prolonged sitting, such as fatigue, discomfort, back pain, blood clots, and varicose veins.
At MityLite, the Waterfall Front Seat is made of our custom molded foam — a cold-cured, MDI, flexing foam. This is our most comfortable cushion style, and it’s ideal for events of any length. What’s a Square Front Seat?
Our Square Front cushion style features modern lines and a boxy appearance, making it ideal for formal events. It is the seat cushion style most often preferred by interior designers and is popular for formal banquets, weddings, and other events where people won’t be expected to sit solidly for hours at a time.
Although made of the same plush foam as the other MityLite cushions, the Square Front cushion does have a firm edge that can put extra pressure on the thighs and the backs of the knees. After guests have been sitting in this type of chair for several hours, they can start to feel uncomfortable.
MityLite has offered the Square Front Seat on several designer banquet chair models, but this is the first time it’s been offered on our best-selling Classic Banquet Chair.
