MITYLITE CEO & PRESIDENT JOHN DUDASH JOINS THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE UTAH MANUFACTURERS ASSOCIATION

OREM, Utah — By a unanimous vote, MityLite Chief Executive Officer and President John Dudash joins the Utah Manufacturer Association’s (UMA) Board of Directors.

Dudash oversees Mity Enterprises, with direct responsibilities leading MityLite in Utah, a global market leader of professionally designed, highly durable banquet, meeting, event and dining furniture; and Broda Seating, a provider of long-term care seating solutions. At MityLite, Dudash leads an executive team in all aspects of marketing, product development, sales, manufacturing, operations, and customer support. Similarly, he is the CEO of Broda Seating and leads a managing director and an EVP of Sales who in turn direct the work of the business.

A longstanding supporter and member of the UMA, and recognizing the vital role of manufacturing to the state’s economic future, Dudash and MityLite recently established a skills scholarship to help train people to work in manufacturing. "Our community has no shortage of smart and capable people with good work ethic. This scholarship simply provides these individuals an opportunity to develop manufacturing skills, empowering them to be active contributors to the economy.”

Since joining Mity Enterprises four years ago, Dudash has helped the combined companies of more than 400 employees achieve record-breaking success. As executive officer for multiple companies over a span of 27 years, Dudash’s career has been filled with much success, ranging from playing minor league baseball to leading several multi-million dollar companies to achieve unprecedented growth and/or acquisition. Prior to Mity, he was managing director at Sanford Corporation, president of Benrz-o-matic, president of Atlantic Luggage Company, and CEO of Illume Candles.

The UMA named MityLite the "2011 Manufacturer of the Year” for its outstanding contribution to Utah’s economy, exceptional operational performance, economic achievement, workplace safety, and community and state involvement.
