MITY CEO & PRESIDENT JOHN DUDASH NAMED EY ENTREPRENEUR OF THE YEAR 2016 FINALIST IN THE UTAH REGION
OREM, Utah — Mity, Inc. today announced that Chief Executive Officer and President John Dudash is a finalist for the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2016 Award in the Utah Region. Dudash oversees Mity, Inc., with direct responsibilities for MityLite, a global market leader in institutional furniture; and Broda Seating, a provider of long?term care seating. Dudash is credited with setting Mity’s strategic focus and leading the executive teams of both subsidiaries by developing highly sought-after products and sales organizations around key customer segments and new markets while also refining operations.
"Building upon MityLite’s industry leadership as a provider of banquet, meeting, and event furniture for the largest hotels and convention centers in the world, John’s entrepreneurial spirit brought new industries, like restaurant, into focus,” notes Mity CFO Jim Yostrum. - Upon joining, Dudash brought a fresh perspective to Mity, providing an intense focus on innovation and development that resulted in MityLite receiving a Utah Genius Award, naming the manufacturer as among the top 20 Utah patent registrants for 2011. Frost & Sullivan’s Manufacturing Leadership Council recognized MityLite in 2014 for shaping the future of global manufacturing, specifically for its supply chain leadership.
- In 2013, Dudash successfully led Mity Enterprises through its acquisition by Prospect Capital Corporation and the creation of Mity, Inc.
- Under his direction, Mity has achieved record-breaking YOY growth and has expanded Broda’s North American footprint by opening an office in St. Louis.
- Dudash established company events and incentives to strengthen Mity’s culture and build morale among employees and their families. In 2014, he initiated Mity’s focus on philanthropic giving, placing emphasis on providing the tools necessary for improving the quality of life of those in need.
Dudash is among 21 Utah region finalists that include entrepreneurs from the automotive, beauty, education, health care, manufacturing, and technology industries. The awards program, which is celebrating its 30th year, will announce award winners at a special gala event on June 4, 2016 at The Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City. The regional award winners will be eligible for consideration for the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year® national program.
